Public Meeting on 7th February 2006

HCTC held a public meeting on the 7th February at Pinner Methodist Church Hall. Guest speakers were Cllr. Navin Shah (Council Leader) Cllr. Sanjay Dighe (Finance) and  Cllr. Keith Burchell (Planning, Development and Housing). A large number of local residents took the opportunity to meet the council in spite of the winter weather, such that it was standing room only.

The council team presented details of council finance and expenditure, and before answering many varied questions from the floor, as well as listening to residents' concerns.

 HCTC would like to thank the councillors for taking the time to meet the people, and we hope everyone learnt something useful. In the run-up to the council elections in May, HCTC is planning to hold more public meetings featuring politicians of all parties in order to promote a constructive debate.
